Most people are familiar with the sab zipper more or less, but do you know that how many types in sab zipper? Here in this blog, I will share some information with you.
Good brands for zippers are made of two flexible tapes with interlocking teeth or coils along their facing edges. The slider moves along this edge, unlocking or locking the teeth or coils together. A pull tab attached to the slider makes it easier to grasp, and stops at the tape top and bottom keep the slider from slipping off the tape.
There are three basic sab zipper types: all-purpose, invisible, and separating. All-purpose zippers are used on most garment and home items. Invisible good brands for zippers are concealed inside a seam and barely show in a finished project. Separating good brands for zippers are used when sections must separate completely, such as on jackets or travel bags. Some separating zippers have dual pull tabs so they can be opened or closed from either end. All three sab zipper types are available in different weights, lengths, and colors.
An unorthodox option is to choose a sab zipper that’s a little longer than the zipper opening: you can move the slider out of the way when sewing and trim the excess tape after the sab zipper is in place.
In my opinion, knowing more about sab will do you a fever in choosing what style you like and wear, now after what I have shared, are you familiar?
